House Speaker Mike Hubbard (R-Auburn) helped celebrate a windfall of new jobs and opportunities for East Alabama as GE Aviation and Pharmavite each broke ground on manufacturing facilities. Combined, the two companies will create up to 800 new jobs in Lee County.

House Speaker Mike Hubbard (R-Auburn) denounced the U.S. Department of Justice’s latest attempt to block Alabama’s strict immigration law. Federal lawyers have asked the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals to block enforcement of the law despite a recent ruling by a federal judge ordering that the most meaningful provisions of the law go into effect.
